Guitar posture and hand forms

    After fully understanding the guitar instrument, today we begin to officially get started. There is a very important part that needs to be corrected before playing, that is our playing posture. There are three kinds of postures: leg up, flat sitting, and standing.

Leg lifting: fold one leg above the knee of the other leg, hold the guitar in your arms, and clip the obvious depression of the guitar on the upper leg

Sit flat: with two legs apart, one side sits slightly on the chair, both legs flat, the guitar in the arms, the right arm is above the resonance box, and the obvious depression is stuck in the front leg.

Standing: stable performance with the guitar suspended requires the assistance of a fixed belt, and requires high playing experience. 

For beginners, my advice is to sit flat, because the center of gravity of the sitting flat is more stable, and the hands will not freeze.

                                              

    With the correct sitting posture, let's discuss the hand shape. I will start with a simple right hand. The right hand position should be directly above the sound hole. The right thumb is responsible for the sixth, fifth and fourth strings, the index finger is responsible for the third string, the middle finger is responsible for the second string, and the ring finger is responsible for the first string. The right wrist should be kept straight as a whole. It is forbidden to hang the wrist which will affect the wrist movement. When exerting the force, it should be plucked by the belly of the finger. Avoid using the nail to pluck the string, because the nail will cause broken sound.

    Compared with the right hand, the left hand is more difficult. Many beginners give up because of left-handed chords. As for the most basic monophonic chord, the middle finger of the index finger and the ring finger control the three farthest points. At the same time, the thumb can be slightly extended, but not pressed against the guitar string. The palm of the left hand is supported on the lower side. I summarized some problems that are easy to happen with the left hand, and gave a warning to you: not close to the Pin enough, lean on the Pin, the left hand has no support point, and press against other strings.
